Octavius Terry - BIO
Terry is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) where he was also a 2006 Sports Hall of Fame inductee. Terry holds two Fashion Design degrees from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. After spending 13 years in Los Angeles, California he currently resides in Atlanta, GA and is also a native.
Terry is the Co-Founder of Unleashed Platinum and also the current CEO and Co-Founder and head designer of the men’s ready-to-wear brand, GROOM (Gentlemen’s Ready-To-Wear Originals by Octavius Marsion) now affectionately known as OCTAVIUS MARSION. He has created designs for iconic celebrities from the world of music, entertainment, and sports including Ray J, The Game, Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah, Chris Brown, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Nick Cannon, Mark Ballas, Tamar Braxton, Lecrae, Tarrell Alvin MaCraney, Lena Waithe, and Matt Barnes just name a few. Octavius’ designs have been seen on the red carpets of the Academy Awards, the Grammys, The American Music Awards, and a multitude of other award ceremonies and celebrity weddings.
Terry has also had successful careers as a singer/songwriter, and a United States Olympic track and field hopeful as a member of both the 1995 and 1997 Track and Field World Championships, and a business executive at several Fortune 500 companies including Wells Fargo where he was a Vice President in the Private Banking and Wealth Management division. After eleven years in corporate America, Octavius made the life-changing decision to dedicate his life to pursuing his dream of building his fashion and real estate empire where he is also a Global Real Estate Advisor for the esteemed Keller Williams Realty West Atlanta Group.
